Sonoran Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Sonoran Desert and its communities. Our mission is to connect people and communities with the natural resources that nourish and sustain us. We strive to create a sustainable future for the Sonoran Desert and its inhabitants. Our work on the Colorado River focuses on understanding the impacts of climate change on the river's hydrology and ecology. We are studying how changes in temperature, precipitation, and snowmelt affect the river's flow, water quality, and aquatic species. We are also looking at how these changes may affect the river's ability to provide water for human use. Our research is helping to inform management decisions that will help ensure the river's long-term health and sustainability. Join us in our mission to protect and restore the natural resources that sustain us.
