 The Oro Valley Optimist Club presents its annual Scramble for Youth golf event on Saturday, April 29, at the Golf Club at Dove Mountain.

  Tucsonan Ed Vosberg, who pitched seven years in the Major Leagues and was a member of the 1997 World Champion Florida Marlins, is the celebrity guest. He’s signing autographs at 9:30 a.m. that day. Ed is the only pitcher in baseball history to play in the Little League World Series, the College World Series while at the University of Arizona, and the World Series.

  Registration opens at 10:30 a.m. that day. A shotgun start is set for noon. There are on-course contests, raffle prizes, and each player gets a Jersey Mike’s box lunch. To play, it’s $150 per person, or $575 for a foursome.
