 A Friday, April 7 deadline is in place for students to apply for 2023 Mayor Steve Engle Memorial Scholarships, given by the Oro Valley Chamber Foundation.

  Students who plan to, or are, attending an Arizona college, university or vocational school are eligible to apply. Standard awards are $1,500. Academic performance, need and community service are among considerations for the scholarship awards.
 

Your Chamber Foundation has received $16,500 in scholarship gifts and commitments for the 2023 year.

  We’re so grateful to donors Kay Williams, Alan Dankwerth, Andrew Dankwerth, Cody Engle, Acacia IT and Greg Durnan, Roche Tissue Diagnostics, Schulz Financial Group and Mary Schulz, and State Farm Joe Foster for their generous gifts and commitments.

  These funds will be distributed officially June 22, when your Chamber Foundation hosts the annual Mayor Steve Engle Memorial Scholarship breakfast at Chamber member The Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa.

  You can help, too! Your sponsorship of a $1,500 scholarship helps a deserving Northwest-side student pursue their goals of higher education at an Arizona institution.
